Llego la hora de actualizar los sistemas para subsanar el fallo publicado en varios sites, blog's, etc el dia 18 de julio.
Recordemos el mismo afectaba a varias versiones de la "querida" familia Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 y Windows Server 2008 R2. Tal y como reconoce Microsoft, en la actualidad hay múltiples familias de malware que se aprovechan de esta vulnerabilidad y esta actualización protege contra cualquier intento de explotación.

Executive Summary
This security update resolves a publicly disclosed vulnerability in Windows Shell. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if the icon of a specially crafted shortcut is displayed. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the local user. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.
